Photorealism

From the Artist:

“This approach has been my primary focus for over two decades. The term realism might be the best description.  Sometimes the work is so tightly rendered that it takes on the appearance of a photo, and other times I’ll have utilized a more painterly approach (particularly in the backgrounds and borders of certain works).  But in general, the goal has always been to bring about a high level of detail with the subject; informing the viewer of subtleties of texture and nuance to form, in addition to potential story arcs within an image. And while the process can be terribly taxing at times, the end result is almost always worth it to me. These examples above are just a few of my favorites from over the years.”
